Booking an independent Gorenje repair

We are a licensed UAE repair company working across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman, 24 hours a day. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on parts and labour, and the call-out is waived when you approve the work. If your appliance is still under Gorenje warranty, use Gorenje's own service channel first — an independent repair may affect that cover.

Which Gorenje appliances we repair

We service Gorenje washing machines, refrigerators, ovens and dishwashers. Every fault is tested and confirmed before any part is replaced, and you approve the price before work starts.

Common Gorenje fault codes and what they actually mean

These are codes we are called out for on Gorenje appliances in the UAE. A code narrows the search — it does not name the broken part on its own, which is why every job starts with a test rather than a guess.

F1 — washing machine

NTC wash-temperature sensor circuit reads open or short. The control board has no usable temperature value and stops the programme instead of proceeding to the heat phase. Check the NTC and its wiring/connector before condemning the board. Note: the claimed reasoning about protecting the heater is inference, not manufacturer wording - keep it as explanation, not as a quoted definition.

Usually: A failed NTC temperature probe, chafed or corroded wiring in the loom running to it, or a loose/burnt connector at the main control board.

F2 — washing machine

On the mainstream Gorenje control system: the control board is not receiving the 'door locked' confirmation from the interlock, so the cycle will not start and the machine will not take on water. Usual causes are a failed door lock/PTC interlock, a damaged lock connector, or wiring between lock and module. Add a model hedge: on older Gorenje WA 101/121/132/162 series, F2 instead indicates the drum did not fill to minimum level within 8 minutes.

Usually: A worn or failed door interlock, a door catch or hinge that has dropped so the latch no longer seats fully, or a broken wire between the lock and the board.

F7 — washing machine

The machine did not drain to the minimum water level within the time the programme allows, so the cycle stops with water still in the drum. Typical causes: blocked pump filter, failed drain pump, kinked or blocked drain hose, or a faulty pressure switch reporting the level. Optional model hedge: on older Gorenje WA 101/121/132/162 series the drain failure code is F5.

Usually: A clogged pump filter, a kinked or blocked drain hose, debris jammed in the drain pump impeller, or a drain pump that has failed electrically.

E3 — dishwasher

Water heating fault: the wash water is not reaching the set temperature (or is heating outside correct parameters) and the programme stops. Check the heating element, its wiring and thermostats, and the temperature sensor feeding the board. Prefer 'the water is not being heated correctly, so the programme stops' over the narrower 'timed out within the allowed time' - the timeout is how some models express it, not the definition.

Usually: A burnt-out heating element, an open thermal cut-out, a drifting temperature sensor, or a damaged supply wire between the board and the heater.

Gorenje symptoms we get called out for

Gorenje publishes less public fault-code documentation than the German and Italian makes, and the code lists that circulate online disagree with each other. That is why two codes we researched were dropped from this page rather than published: on a machine where the same code means different things depending on the source, a guess costs you a wasted call-out.

The machine fills and washes but the water stays cold

On Gorenje washers this can surface as F1 or F4, and the two are worth separating. F1 points at the temperature sensor itself — a short circuit or damaged sensor contacts. F4 is broader: on some Gorenje models it flags the drive motor, on others it means the water simply never reached the set temperature in the time allowed. The same code, two different repairs. We test the element and the thermistor for continuity and resistance before condemning either, because replacing a heating element on an F4 that was actually a motor circuit fault is an expensive way to learn the difference.

Water still in the drum at the end of the cycle

This is F7 — the drain took longer than the control allows. Before booking anyone, the pump filter is worth checking yourself: on Gorenje front-loaders it sits behind a small access panel at the bottom front of the machine and unscrews anticlockwise. Put a shallow tray and towels down first, because the drum will still be holding water. A clogged filter accounts for most F7 calls. If the filter is clear and F7 returns, the drain pump or the hose run is the next thing to test.

The door will not release, or the cycle will not start

F2 is the door interlock. Check first that nothing is trapped in the seal and that the door is closing squarely — a dropped hinge on an older machine will stop the latch engaging even though the door looks shut. If the door is genuinely closed and F2 persists, it is usually the interlock assembly or its wiring rather than anything the owner can clear.

Reading a Gorenje code at all

Gorenje sells into the UAE through a regional site and distributor network rather than a local brand service arm, so parts are ordered against the model code rather than held as general stock. Have the model number off the rating plate ready when you call — with Gorenje it changes which code table applies, not just which part is ordered.

Gorenje model families we see in UAE homes

Gorenje promotes three named ranges to UAE buyers: the Simplicity Collection of matching appliance sets, the Ora-Ito design collection, and OptiBake built-in ovens. Beyond those the UAE range is organised by category rather than by series.

Gorenje parts in the UAE

Gorenje reaches the UAE through a regional site and distributor network, so parts are ordered against the model code rather than held as general stock.

We confirm the exact part, its availability and the expected wait with you before the repair is approved. Where an original part is discontinued or slow to source, we say so and tell you what the alternative is before anything is fitted — including whether it is an OEM part or a high-grade equivalent.

How the repair works

  • Call or WhatsApp with the model number and the symptom.
  • On-site diagnosis — the fault is tested and confirmed, not guessed.
  • Fixed price, approved by you before any work starts. Parts quoted separately.
  • Tested in front of you, then 90 days of warranty on the repair.

Where we cover

We serve Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman, 24 hours a day including weekends and public holidays, with no out-of-hours surcharge. Our registered office is in Ajman and our technicians travel to you.

Gorenje repair questions

Are you connected to Gorenje in any way?

No. UNITECH HOME BUILDING MAINTENANCE L.L.C, trading as 24x7 Customer Care, is an independent appliance repair company. We are not appointed by, affiliated with, or acting for the manufacturer or its UAE distributors. If your appliance is still inside the manufacturer's warranty period, contact the retailer you bought it from first, because an independent repair may affect that cover.

My Gorenje washing machine has stopped mid-cycle with a code on the display. What now?

Note the code down before you switch anything off, because it tells the technician which circuit the machine is complaining about — a temperature sensor reading, a door interlock that will not confirm locked, or water that has not drained in time are the usual ones. Then turn the machine off at the wall. If the drum is full of water, do not force the door. Call us with the code and the model number and we will bring the likely parts to the first visit.

Which emirates do you cover?

We cover Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.

Do you charge a call-out fee just to look at the appliance?

The call-out charge is waived when you approve the repair and we carry it out. You are told what is wrong and what it will cost before any work starts, so you decide with the price in front of you.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. We give a 90-day warranty covering both the parts we fit and the labour. If the same fault comes back within that window, we return and put it right at no further cost.

My Gorenje fridge is not getting cold but the light and fan still work. Is that worth repairing?

Usually yes. When the cabinet is warm but the appliance is clearly still powered, the fault is more often a temperature sensor, a defrost fault icing up the evaporator, a fan, or the control board — none of which mean the fridge is finished. A technician can tell you within one visit whether it is a component-level repair or a compressor problem, and you can decide from there.

My Gorenje dishwasher has water sitting in the bottom and will not finish a cycle. Can that be fixed the same day?

Often it can. Standing water at the end of a program usually points to the drain path — a blocked filter, a kinked or silted drain hose, or a drain pump that has jammed or failed. Those are common parts. If the machine has also flagged a leak-protection fault, do not keep restarting it, because it has cut the water supply for a reason. Switch it off at the isolator and at the tap and call us.

Can someone come outside normal working hours?

Yes, we operate 24/7, so you can reach us at night, at the weekend and on public holidays.

Call-out fees, VAT and what each repair typically costs are set out on our pricing page. What the 90-day cover includes, and what it does not, is on warranty terms.
