Booking an independent Siemens repair

If your appliance is still under Siemens warranty, use Siemens's own service channel first — an independent repair may affect that cover.

Common Siemens fault codes and what they actually mean
These are codes we are called out for on Siemens appliances in the UAE. A code narrows the search — it does not name the broken part on its own, which is why every job starts with a test rather than a guess.
E18 / F18 — washing machine
The machine failed to pump the water out within the expected time and stopped the cycle. Usual causes: blocked pump filter (coins, lint, a sock), a kinked or blocked drain hose, a blocked house drain connection, or a failed drain pump. Safe to state as-is; optionally note that F18 is the same fault reported as a drain 'time-out'.
Usually: Almost always a blocked drain path rather than a dead machine — the pump filter (the screw-out trap behind the flap at the bottom front) is choked with lint, coins or hair clips, or the drain hose is kinked, crushed behind the machine, or blocked at the standpipe. If the filter is clean and the pump impeller will not spin freely by hand, the drain pump itself is failing and needs replacing.
E15 / F15 — dishwasher
The anti-flood protection has tripped: water has collected in the base tray under the machine and a float switch has shut the cycle down to stop a leak spreading.
Usually: A genuine internal leak — a perished door seal, a split fill or drain hose, a cracked sump or a leaking spray-arm feed. Water sitting in the base must be cleared and the leak found before the machine will run normally again. Siemens advises closing the water tap and switching the appliance off rather than attempting a home fix, since it is a water-and-electricity hazard.
E24 — dishwasher
Waste water is not leaving the machine, so the wash stops with dirty water standing in the tub.
Usually: A clogged filter assembly, a drain pump cover that has not been seated and locked properly, debris jamming the pump impeller, or a kinked/blocked waste hose or sealed sink siphon connection. On older machines the internal drain pipework can silt up with grease and food residue and need flushing.
E22 — dishwasher
The filter system in the base of the tub is blocked or soiled. Lead with that: 'The dishwasher has detected that its filters are clogged with food debris and grease.' Then state the effect as an effect, not the definition — poor spray/wash results and, on some models, an automatic filter-clean routine. Present it as the most owner-fixable code on the list (remove and rinse the filters under the tap), which is honest and builds trust.
Usually: The coarse and fine filters have loaded up with food debris and grease. This is the one code on the list a customer can usually clear themselves — lift out the filter stack, wash it under a hot tap with a brush, refit it and lock it. If it returns quickly, the machine is being loaded with too much solid food residue or the drain is partially restricted.
E09 — dishwasher
A fault in the water heating circuit — the machine cannot bring the wash water up to temperature.
Usually: Typically a failed flow-through heater (the heating element built into the circulation pump) or its supply/control circuit on the main board. Symptom the customer notices first is dishes coming out cold, greasy and with detergent residue still in the dispenser. Not a DIY repair — it is a mains-voltage component inside the sump.
F21 / E21 — washing machine
The control board has detected that the drum motor is not turning as commanded — the drum may jerk, stall or refuse to spin at all.
Usually: On older brushed-motor models the carbon brushes are worn down and need replacing; on other machines it points to the motor control section of the main board, a loose motor loom connector, or a seized drum bearing loading the motor. Worth checking nothing is physically jamming the drum before condemning parts.

Siemens repair questions
My Siemens washing machine shows E18 and the drum is still full of water. What is wrong?
E18 means the machine tried to pump the water out and could not finish in time. Nine times out of ten it is a blockage, not a broken machine. Switch the machine off, open the small flap at the bottom front, put a shallow tray and towel down, and unscrew the pump filter — coins, hair clips, tissue and lint collect there. Also pull the machine out and check the drain hose is not kinked or crushed. If the filter is clean and it still will not drain, the drain pump has usually failed and needs replacing, which is a straightforward call-out for us.
My Siemens dishwasher is showing E15 and stopped mid-cycle. Can I just reset it?
Please do not just reset it. E15 means water has collected in the base tray under the dishwasher and the built-in flood protection has shut it down — there is a real leak somewhere inside. Close the water tap feeding the machine, switch it off at the socket, and call us. Resetting it repeatedly without finding the leak is how a small drip turns into damaged kitchen cabinets, and on an under-counter machine you often cannot see the water until the floor is wet.
Do you cover my area, and can you come outside working hours?

That matters most for the failures you cannot leave until Monday — a Siemens fridge that has stopped cooling with a full freezer, or a dishwasher leaking into a fitted kitchen. What does the repair cost, and do I pay just for someone to look at it?
There is a call-out charge for the visit and diagnosis, and it is waived if you approve the repair — so if we do the work, you are not paying separately for the diagnosis. We tell you what is wrong and what it will cost before we start, and nothing goes ahead without your approval. If you decide not to proceed, you pay only the call-out.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes. We give a 90-day warranty covering both the parts we fit and the labour. If the same fault comes back within that period, we return and put it right at no extra charge. The warranty covers the repair we carried out — it does not cover a new, unrelated fault elsewhere in the appliance.
My Siemens oven is built into the kitchen units. Can it be repaired in place?
Usually yes. Most Siemens ovens sold in the UAE are built-in models, and the common faults — a failed heating element, a burnt-out fan motor, a faulty thermostat or temperature sensor, a broken door hinge or seal — are handled by sliding the oven forward out of its housing on site. We only remove an appliance from the property if the fault genuinely cannot be diagnosed in place, and we would discuss that with you first.
What information should I have ready when I call about a Siemens appliance?
Two things speed everything up. First, any error code showing on the display — write down exactly what it says, for example E18 or F21, because it narrows the diagnosis before we arrive. Second, the E-Nr. model number from the rating plate: on a washing machine or dishwasher it is on the frame inside the door, and on a fridge it is usually behind the salad drawer. Siemens parts are identified by that number, so having it means we can check part availability before the visit rather than after.
My Siemens dishwasher is leaving dishes wet and greasy with detergent still in the dispenser. Is that a fault or am I loading it wrong?
If detergent is left undissolved in the dispenser and the dishes come out cold and greasy, the machine is most likely not heating the water — on Siemens machines that often surfaces as an E09 heating fault, pointing to the flow-through heater or its control circuit. Before assuming the worst, pull out the filter stack in the base and clean it, since a clogged filter (often shown as E22) restricts circulation and produces similar results. If cleaning the filters does not fix it, it needs a technician — the heater is a mains-voltage part inside the sump and is not a home repair.
